Sarah Rodriguez boasts an impressive 16-year career as a dedicated school psychologist, channeling her passion towards supporting students with disabilities and their families. Immersed in this field, she finds fulfillment beyond measure and envisions no alternative path. Beyond her professional calling, Sarah finds joy in the company of her two daughters who keep her engaged and on her toes. As they are entering or fully in the throes of puberty, her parenting skills are being put to the test daily. Sarah’s goal in raising her girls is to make sure they are kind and decent human beings and so far, so good.
Originating from a bustling family, Sarah holds her place as the middle child among five siblings. The threads of kinship run deep as she maintains strong bonds with her mother, three sisters, brother, and seven nieces and nephews. The camaraderie extends into frequent family gatherings, celebrating shared moments and creating cherished memories. Amidst her commitments, Sarah carves out time for her literary pursuits, passionately participating in multiple book clubs, one of which delves into the realm of young adult literature.
Throughout her journey, Sarah has lent her expertise to various school districts spanning Ventura, Kern, Santa Clara, and Santa Barbara counties.
Her recent role as a program specialist for secondary programs within the Ventura Unified School District reflects her ongoing dedication to shaping educational pathways. Immersed in professional networks, she contributes actively to the Ventura County Association of School Psychologists (VCASP) and the California Association of School Psychologists (CASP). On an academic front, Sarah extends her influence as an adjunct professor at UMass Global, imparting her knowledge through a Law and Ethics class tailored for aspiring school psychologists.
