Dawn is a highly accomplished professional holding a Psy.D. in Educational Psychology from Alliant International University, reflecting her unwavering commitment to advancing her expertise in the field. She embarked on her academic journey at UC Riverside, earning a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, and furthered her education at Azusa Pacific University, where she obtained a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology.

Early in her career, Dawn served as a Marriage and Family Therapist Intern, gaining valuable experience in working with foster children. This role marked the beginning of her journey into School Psychology, prompting her to pursue a credential in the field. Over a decade, she dedicated herself to serving as a School Psychologist in local public schools, developing a profound commitment to social justice and the empowerment of marginalized and underserved youth.

Eager to contribute further, Dawn earned a doctorate from Alliant International University, conducting her doctoral project on post-secondary transition strategies for students in special education. Committed to continuous growth, she obtained a Diplomate in School Neuropsychology and became a Licensed Educational Psychologist, expanding her skill set and expertise.

With an impressive background, Dawn serves as a Clinical Assistant Professor and Fieldwork Coordinator in the School Psychology Program at Loyola Marymount University since June 2022. In this role, she actively contributes to the M.A. and Ed.S. School Psychology Program, creating syllabi, developing lesson plans, and delivering both in-person and online courses. Her commitment extends to providing constructive feedback to M.A. candidates, supervising students in practicum and internship, and coordinating fieldwork experiences. Dawn collaborates with school districts across California to facilitate practicum and internships, demonstrating her dedication to enriching students’ practical experiences.

Beyond her professional commitments, Dawn finds joy in spending quality time with her family and two dogs. Her leisure pursuits include reading and exploring various podcasts. This multifaceted professional is not only academically accomplished but also deeply committed to enhancing the field of School Psychology through her teaching, mentorship, and collaboration efforts.
