Heather Oser embarked on her journey as a speech-language pathologist in 2010 in Texas, driven by her deep-seated passion for working with children. Her initial aspiration was to become a teacher, but a serendipitous encounter with her autistic nephew’s speech therapist opened the door to the captivating world of speech pathology, setting her on a dedicated path within the field.
Heather earned her Bachelor of Arts in Communication Disorders from the University of Houston, followed by her pursuit of a master’s degree in Communication Disorders at Our Lady of the Lake in San Antonio. Her commitment to her craft has taken her across the United States due to her husband’s military career, affording her the unique opportunity to work in diverse settings. Her professional journey has encompassed roles in elementary, middle, and high schools, private practice, home health, acute care, outpatient rehab, and sub-acute care, making her a well-rounded speech therapist with a wealth of experience.
Heather prides herself on fostering meaningful connections with both the families and clients she serves through speech therapy. Her dedication to staying at the forefront of her field is evident through her active engagement in ongoing education. She has attended multiple speech therapy conferences and amassed numerous hours of continuing education credits to ensure that her practice remains rooted in the latest research and best practices.
An unwavering member of the American Speech and Hearing Association (ASHA) since 2010, Heather exemplifies her commitment to the highest standards in the profession. Beyond her professional life, Heather finds joy in spending quality time with her family, which includes her two children and a cherished dachshund.
