Jordan Pietrzykoski, a native of Pennsylvania, embarked on her academic journey with a Bachelor of Science degree in psychology with a minor in neuroscience from Saint Francis University. Her profound fascination with psychology and her desire to make a positive impact on others was ignited during her high school years at North Penn High School while delving into the intricacies of AP psychology. This passion further burgeoned through her experiences as a babysitter, where she had the privilege of working with children who possessed special needs.
During her time at Saint Francis University, Jordan’s commitment to the field of psychology was unwavering. She embarked on an independent study endeavor, dedicating her time and expertise to exploring the intricate relationship between adverse childhood experiences and other trauma-related factors, unraveling the profound and lasting effects they imprint on adult health.
Moreover, her dedication to academic pursuits led her to Pennsylvania State University, where she was chosen to collaborate on undergraduate research under the guidance of a graduate student mentor. Here, she delved into the enigmatic world of neurobiological mechanisms underpinning psychopathological conditions, while also exploring the connection between humans and animals, seeking to uncover the mutual benefits it offered.
Beyond her scholarly achievements, Jordan demonstrated her prowess on the field as the starting shortstop for the Division 1 NCAA softball team at Saint Francis University. Her remarkable athleticism and commitment earned her prestigious accolades, including the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District selection, First Team All-NEC (Shortstop), NEC All-Tournament Team recognition, and CSC Academic All-District honors. Her dedication extended to the classroom as she consistently earned a place on the Northeast Conference Academic Honor Roll.
In June 2023, Jordan embarked on a new chapter in her life as she relocated to San Diego alongside her boyfriend, Andrew, who serves as an Ensign in the Navy. Leaving behind her loving parents, Dan and Lynda, her brother, Grant, and her cherished Shiba Inus, Kobi and Koko, Jordan embarked on a mission to fulfill her dreams of enhancing the lives of children in the sun-soaked landscapes of Southern California.
