Nationwide Independent Educational Evaluations and Expert Witness Services

When families, advocates, or attorneys seek an Independent Educational Evaluation, they are often preparing for more than an IEP meeting. In many cases, the evaluation may inform mediation or due process proceedings. In those moments, experience, structure, and scale matter.

Cognitive Diagnostic Associates operates through 21 office locations across the United States. Through these locations and our network of licensed practitioners, we provide comprehensive Independent Educational Evaluations in multiple states. In addition, we provide expert witness services for due process hearings in all 50 states.

Parents Have the Right to Comprehensive IEEs

Under IDEA, parents have the right to request an Independent Educational Evaluation in all areas in which the school district assessed. If a district conducted cognitive testing, academic testing, speech, occupational therapy, behavior, or more, parents may request independent evaluations in those same areas.

While that right has always existed, families have historically been required to coordinate multiple providers across disciplines. It has never been offered through one coordinated organization at this scale. Cognitive Diagnostic Associates was built to provide comprehensive Independent Educational Evaluations under one structured framework.

Our evaluations are conducted by a coordinated team of licensed professionals, including:

• School Neuropsychologists
• Licensed Educational Psychologists
• School Psychologists
• Speech-Language Pathologists
• Occupational Therapists

• Physical Therapists
• Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs)
• Licensed Optometrists

• Licensed Audiologists
• Medical Doctors
• Transition Specialists
• Adaptive Physical Education Specialists
• Assistive Technology Specialists
• Program and One-to-One Aide Evaluators

One coordinated organization. One comprehensive record.

Why It Matters

Strong evaluations are not emotional.
They are documented.
They are defensible.
They are prepared for mediation and due process.

When educational decisions require clarity, families and attorneys need evaluations grounded in data and written to withstand scrutiny.
