Sarah Meeks is a nationally recognized special education expert witness who provides expert testimony across all 50 states and serves as a Licensed Educational Psychologist for Independent Educational Evaluations (IEEs) in California, with nearly two decades of experience. She conducts IEEs for families seeking independent, comprehensive assessments when questions arise regarding a student’s educational needs, eligibility, or services. Her evaluations are known for their depth, clarity, and strong clinical interpretation.

Sarah has evaluated students across a wide range of learning and developmental profiles, from mild learning differences to complex disabilities requiring intensive behavioral, mental health, and adaptive support. Her areas of expertise include Autism, Dyslexia, specific learning disabilities in reading, writing, and mathematics, ADHD, Intellectual Disability, Anxiety, Depression, and related due process matters.

A Southern California native, Sarah brings experience from every educational level, giving her a broad and balanced understanding of school systems and student needs. She has served as a School Psychologist across elementary, middle, high school, and charter homeschool settings, and has held administrative roles overseeing special education programs and facilitating IEP meetings in collaboration with families and multidisciplinary teams.

Sarah is the mother of two boys. Outside of her professional work, she enjoys spending time at soccer and basketball games with her family, relaxing at the beach, and running marathons. As an avid runner, she trains consistently and prioritizes a lifestyle grounded in fitness, nutrition, and mental wellness.  She values the well-established role of physical activity and sports participation in supporting emotional regulation, reducing symptoms of anxiety and depression, and promoting resilience, attention, and overall psychological well-being for students. This perspective informs her holistic, strengths-based evaluative approach. She is a valued member of the CDA team and is widely respected for her thoughtful, thorough evaluations and expert testimony.
