Optometrist or Ophthalmologist

Apply Today

Cognitive Diagnostic Associates' Expansion Committee looks to attract talented individuals who will add depth to the practices and expand the geography.

Cognitive Diagnostic Associates is actively seeking a licensed Optometrist or Ophthalmologist with experience in both clinical and educational settings to join our multidisciplinary evaluation team. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated expertise in conducting vision-related assessments that support students with suspected visual impairments or related learning challenges within the context of Independent Educational Evaluations (IEEs).

We are looking for professionals who can provide detailed, school-relevant evaluations to determine the impact of vision on access to curriculum, identify necessary accommodations, and offer clear, comprehensive reporting to support Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) or 504 Plans. Experience working with children and adolescents is essential, as is the ability to collaborate effectively with psychologists, educators, and family members.

Strong written communication skills and the ability to produce legally defensible, jargon-free reports tailored for educational settings are required. Candidates should be familiar with visual processing, ocular health, and low vision strategies, and must be comfortable conducting assessments both in-person and through digital platforms where appropriate. Those who can assess for educational eligibility related to visual impairment will be highly valued.

We welcome candidates who are proactive, detail-oriented, and committed to high-quality, child-centered care.
