Cognitive Diagnostic Associates is actively seeking a licensed Physical Therapist with a minimum of three years of experience in both educational and clinical settings to join our dedicated evaluation team. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated expertise in conducting comprehensive physical therapy evaluations to assess gross motor skills, functional mobility, balance, and strength as they relate to a student’s ability to access and participate in the educational environment. They should be skilled in identifying physical barriers that impact academic engagement, school participation, and overall independence, and be able to formulate clear, evidence-based recommendations to support educational planning and service eligibility.
The candidate should be adept at collaborating with educators, parents, and other professionals to provide insights and recommendations that promote access to education and support student mobility and independence. Strong oral and written communication skills are essential, as is significant experience in conducting detailed gross motor, functional, and mobility assessments. The candidate should also be proficient in utilizing evidence-based evaluation tools and be familiar with current research and best practices in school-based physical therapy.
