Shelly Richardson brings over 20 years of experience as a school psychologist, making her an invaluable asset to the CDA team. Throughout her career, she has conducted comprehensive evaluations and provided counseling services, behavioral consultation, and vital support to teachers, administrators, staff, and parents. Prior to her work in schools, Shelly served with the local mental health authority, where she offered individual and group counseling and conducted crisis screenings for individuals experiencing suicidal or homicidal ideation.

With a lifelong passion for helping others, Shelly is deeply committed to supporting children and families in accessing the tools and resources they need to thrive. Her expertise and dedication strengthen CDA’s mission of empowering families through independent evaluations and comprehensive support.

Outside of her professional work, Shelly is a proud mother and grandmother of six children and six grandchildren. She enjoys spending time with her family and being outdoors — whether it’s riding horses, camping, fishing, or hiking. She also loves attending sporting events and band performances, where she enthusiastically cheers on her children and grandchildren in their passions and pursuits.
